Farewell half term. You were wonderful. Relaxing and productive in equal measure, just the right amount of activity and sleep. In terms of food, things changed – I swapped risotto for chicken noodle soup in the slow cooker, we had leftovers on Saturday instead of jackets, and Halloween happened on Friday, NOT Saturday. We may have ignored some trick or treaters at my brother-in-laws house…sorry kids.
Anywho, onwards and upwards. This week will be a little different. We haven’t gone shopping, and the Mr discovered a freezer drawer full of leftovers. So we’re going to eat our way through those as best we can!
Lamb and date casserole (probs with green beans on the side). Mmm and with mashed potatoes I think (can you tell that I’m making it up as I go along this week?!).
Either more lamb and date casserole (depending whether or not we have guests on Monday), or ‘Chilli thing’ according to the label on the container in the freezer!
Spag Bol. ‘Nuff said.
Hmm…there’s ‘SPICY ASS CURRY’ (which I couldn’t eat it was so spicy), or lamb risotto…I’m thinking lamb risotto. Double whammy on the lamb this week…
Friday – Sat
We are in London visiting the in-laws/seeing a show/seeing all hubby’s homies, so no planning required.
Tea at church, pasta bake if I’m not mistaken 🙂
There is our meal plan from the freezer this week. I’ll be more imaginative next week, think I’m going to try slow cooker pulled pork, as planned by The Musing Housewife. As ever, head on over to At Home With Mrs M for more meal planning wisdom and inspiration 🙂
