YEY Friday. First week back at work was pretty alright really. No major disasters, no horrendous meltdowns. There has been much to love and enjoy throughout, so on with the show πŸ™‚

My ‘D’ book for #atozauthors

My reading has slowed down somewhat, but I’m reading ‘an information book’ as we call it at school. Might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s interesting to learn a few more of the ins and outs of the monarchy’s history. Very messy and all aΒ bitΒ veryΒ mean most of the time is the basic jist so far. I do love a bit of history, though.

Watched

Nothing unusual really, still waiting to organise a cinema trip with a couple of friends to see Cinderella, I’ve heard lots of good things about it on various blogs, so am looking forward to it!

Wore

My lovely new swimsuit! As I can’t run at the moment without bad knee pain, I decided that I really need a new way to keep fit. Cycling = no, my little sister has my bike. Gym = BIG no, definitely not for me. Swimming had always put me off for various reasons, one of which is swimsuits – not my fave thing. So when I found swimsuits that have shorts incorporated, it was an ideal solution to that particular qualm. I’ve decided to just suck it up and go, even if I can’t iron out my other little niggles so easily!

Heard

Near-constant whining and tale-telling from my lovely children at work, but also hearing them all read and talk and enjoy life again has been good fun.

Made

Not much to report here either, apart from far-too-creamy tomato soup which IΒ finallyΒ finished yesterday (it took me about 5 meal times), and then chicken fajitas last night, which were super quick and really tasty πŸ™‚

And lastly…

Me and my hubby have got into a bit of a routine after work of getting home and spending some time reading the Bible. We both go about it in different ways, so even though we’re just sitting at the table next to each other rather than reading and exploring the same thing, it’s a really lovely time to spend together. I’m using a website/app called She Reads Truth, written by women for women, which is used by women across the world to open up God’s word together. It’s short and sweet, and I’m loving being refreshed after whatever kind of day we’ve had. Long may the routine continue!

Such a great routine to get into with your husband. I have that app but I’ve not properly looked at it yet, must have a read.
Well done on the swimming, I really need to get back into exercising – especially after eating so many Easter eggs!! xx

Oh Cinderella is amazing!! I totally became a big kid again at it! πŸ™‚ I have the same swimming issues as you – and yet I love it when I get in the water. Just so much maintenance before you go though, isn’t there? πŸ˜‰ xx

I like the idea of swimming costumes with built in shorts! I hate standard ones, they are far too revealing. That book sounds interesting too. I have a History degree and I love a bit of British history sometimes.

It’s great, I got mine from a website called Simply Swim, there was plenty of choice. Oh wow, did you specialise or do lots of topics? History is just such a vast subject! Xx

Cinderella looks such a lovely film, but I’m not sure I could persuade my husband to come with me and I think O is a bit young for it. He’s still into his cartoons! x

I really want to see Cinderella but everyone I know seems to have already seen it. Enjoy. Swimming is good and the swimsuit sounds a good idea (it always puts me off having to run the gantlet from changing room to pool) very good exercise.

I’m the sand with swimming, even bringing Amelia involves so much prep and de fuzzing on my end, but once in the pool I’m delighted I got in! Will look forward to seeing what you think of Cinderella, I’ll have to wait up get it on DVD as Amelia wouldn’t sit through a movie yet! Hope you have a great week xxx

Argh, such a faff, isn’t it? I can’t get away with it this time round (last time was a bit of a ‘sod it’ moment), boo. We’re planning to go and see it a week today – so excited! Hope you have a lovely week too xx

Love the title – I may steal it in future! I hope you soon settle back into the work routine, and good on you for going swimming. I bought a swimsuit with an attached (very short) skirt last year, which helped a little. Why are swimsuits so skimpy anyway??? Hope you are having a good week!
