Meal Planning Monday

Last week of term – can I get a woop woop? And Spring is springing – only a jumper and leather jacket today – NO gilet and NO scarf, wahoo! 8 degrees feels so warm. After treating myself to fish fingers, chips and beans for tea, I’m determined to be a healthy bean this week. We watched a programme on iPlayer about quitting/reducing sugar and my Mr said, “Shall we try that?”. This from the man that drinks at least one can of coke a day, to the woman who eats chocolate/biscuits/cake more than once a day. Not sure how we’d fare, but we might give it a try! Has anyone else given that a go?

Anyways, food last week was on track enough, homemade chicken korma involved a trip to Waitrose for saffron and cloves, but I think it was worth it – it tasted pretty awesome! A bit watery but amazing flavours. Thanks Si and Dave πŸ™‚ so, what’s on the menu chez nous this week?

Monday

Toad in the Hole – I’ve been wanting to make this for a while after seeing it on various meal plans, can’t wait πŸ™‚

Tuesday

Salmon and sweetcorn casserole.

Wednesday

Spinach and Leek quiche.

Thursday

Leftovers – it’s an Easter Craft evening at church so I’ll be needing something quick.

Friday

‘Stove-top haddock with fennel seeds and basil’ according to Lorraine…should be fun!

Saturday

Erm…didn’t get that far in my planning. Leftovers?

Sunday

Tea at church.

More fish that usual, as per hubby’s request. Part of a healthy start to Spring? Ooh on that note – is Spring the first day of March, or the 21st? I’d always thought the 21st, but I’ve heard murmurings about the 1st…in which case we’re a bit late!

Head on over to At Home With Mrs M for more meal planning love πŸ™‚
